Mobile Firefox 4 for Android is out!

The Mozilla Foundation releases Firefox 4 for Android. The new browser’s features include intuitive interface and a lot of customization options.

The new Firefox for mobile devices ensures seamless and secure access to personal data from your computer and from the cell, including browsing history, bookmarks, tabs, form data and passwords. Using browser add-ons you can also install, synchronize, tabbed browsing and add bookmarks. New design for applications and abitlity to hide the controls when not in use, gives you more space and the freedom to browse.

Firefox 4 is up to three times faster than the default browser for Android. Significant improvements in the JavaScript engine makes it all faster: from the speed of loading pages, through graphics, up to overall performance.

Internet Browser Market Share [Infographic]

Three of the most used browsers in the market namely Microsoft Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are coming up with there new beta versions. Each of them have some or the other compelling features that make them stand apart from the whole bunch of not so known ones.

Some of the common features which are on the cards for there new version of IE includes a faster JavaScript engine, additions in hardware acceleration and HTML5 support. Firefox is preparing itself with multi-touch support on windows 7 and Chrome is planning to add form autofill, autofil synchronization and plus extension.

The browsers preferences have changed from time to time. Internet explorer was the leader in 2002 capturing 85% of the market is used by just a little over 32% of the internet population today. Let us have a closer look at the journey and life of each of these popular browsers with the help of this infographic.

Mozilla gives a good platform to a number of applications which depend some or the other of its aspects in terms of its native technology. I am listing here some useful applications which you can download free of cost from the net and bring them to your advantage:

1. Boxee

This customizable application organizes your media i.e music, videos and pictures and makes it convenient for you to navigate through them through media remote controls. What’s interesting is that if you have an iPhone of iPod, you can actually turn it into a remote control for your Boxee set-up, just by easy installation of an app. Boxee is certainly a new way to enjoy entertainment!
