Steve Jobs Death at 56 – The Man who Changed our Lives is No More

steve jobs deathThe U.S. computer manufacturer Apple announced Wednesday night, the death of his iconic former CEO Steve Jobs, who co-founded the company in 1976 and had dropped the reins on August 24.

At 56, Steve Jobs suffered from serious health problems for several years.

He had undergone a liver transplant two years ago and survived pancreatic cancer in 2004. In 2009 already he had been away for several months for health reasons.

Steve Jobs resigned from his position as CEO of Apple on August 24 and was replaced by Tim Cook (number two in the group).

Which Gaming Console Will Create the Next Big Thing

best gaming consoleRumors are starting to heat up as the current-generation consoles are getting due for replacement. It looks like Sony and Microsoft are once again looking at outdoing each other in the sheer power of their consoles.

Talks of up to 24 processor cores are lighting up rumor mills and Internet message boards. With processing power reaching – and sometimes surpassing – desktops, the arms race continues.

Along with the evolution of processors and hardware, Sony and Microsoft are poised to improve on the all-in-one nature of their consoles. Blu-ray, online connections, and HD are just some of the expected features.

Watch Out MySpace, Music Streaming Coming to Facebook

It seems the ever-expanding website really is taking over the world.

The release date is rumored to coincide with the f8 Conference, which is the Facebook developer seminar that is taking place on September 22.

Yahoo Ditches Carol Bartz

yahoo carol bartzCarol Bartz has been replaced as the President and CEO of Yahoo with Tim Morse who is currently the CFO taking over as the Interim CEO along with his existing role.

Carol was fired over the phone by the Chairman of the Board, Roy Bostock. She was at the helm from January 2009.

This is the note that Bartz sent out her Yahoo colleagues from her iPad.
