Mozilla Fixes a Serious Security Loop Hole With Firefox 3.6.2

Firefox-logoThere was a serious security loop hole when Mozilla released its new version of Mozilla Firefox. The loop hole compromised security on the user’s system by letting the attacker not only crash the browser but also allowing them to execute arbitrary code.

Thankfully, now Mozilla has addressed this issue and the users of Mozilla Firefox 3.6 will automatically get this update.

If you do not want to wait any further you may also want to do it manually. Here is how you can do it in three simple steps.

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. Click on “Check for Updates”
  3. Select and Apply

The release notes of this update can be found in detail on the Mozilla Site.
